No mention of SDGs. Too little on Climate finance after COP21. It’s a major opportunity for the microfinance world. UN will deliver as one on this top issue.

In which world do you live??? How can we get SDGs and mitigation/adaptation/resilience without microfinance, microinsurance and clean tech as business opportunities for the poor (backed by microfinance)?

I personally participated to COP21 and wrote in 2009 a book on that. I would be willing to organize a session, together with other interested players.

Dear Valentino,

Thank you for your feedback on the agenda of the 18th Microcredit Summit: Frontier Innovations in Financial Inclusion.
We agree that the SDGs are an important topic to be covered in this conference, and we intend to do that. Specifically, we will discuss what role microfinance and financial inclusion can (and should) in achieving the SDGs as well as the World Bank’s dual goals of ending poverty by 2030 while ensuring prosperity for all.

You may be interested in the “Pathways to Social & Financial Inclusion” plenary as well as the “Green Microfinance Solutions” and “The Role of Microfinance and Financial Services in Building Resilience” breakout sessions.

We invite to write a guest blog post that we can feature on our 100 Million Ideas blog: http://100millionideas.org/.

I hope to see you in Abu Dhabi! Register before the end of the day January 18th (Monday), and you save $50!

Sincerely,

The Microcredit Summit Campaign Secretariat
