H.E. Najla Ahmed Al Midfa, General Manager, Sheraa, UAE
Najla is general manager of Sheraa, an entrepreneurship center that aims to nurture a vibrant startup ecosystem in Sharjah and provide entrepreneurs with a launchpad for success. She is also founder of Khayarat, a career development platform that inspires Emirati graduates to raise their ambitions and build careers in the private sector.
Prior to Sheraa, Najla was senior manager at the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, where she led a team of business counselors through the due diligence process, helping to identify and select ventures for financing.
Najla was previously a senior associate at McKinsey and Company‘s New York office, where she worked on a range of strategy-related projects, primarily serving clients across the financial institutions sector. Her work experience also includes roles within PricewaterhouseCoopers and Shell.
Najla is a Board member of United Arab Bank and vice-chairperson of Young Arab Leaders. She is also a founding Board member of Education for Employment UAE.
An Emirati national, Najla holds an MBA from Stanford University. She is a fellow of the Aspen Institute’s Middle East Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Institute’s Global Leadership Network.
