Marilyn Manila, COMDEV Director, CARD INC
Her career in development started thirteen years ago as executive assistant to her current immediate supervisor, Dr. Jaime Aristotle Alip, Founder and Managing Director of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI). Her most relevant experience in that position was to do concept development for CARD’s new projects and as well, find possible resource support for these and been instrumental in the concept and implementation of the CARD Scholarship Program (CSP).
She became Resource Mobilization Manager in 2003, anchored partnership projects from the conceptualization to the implementation and monitoring stage.
In 2004, set up the Resource Mobilization Unit which core responsibilities are resource mobilization for innovating new products and services and managing the current partnership projects. She was made the Unit’s Director until January 2009. She became the Director for the International Group covering the offices in HongKong, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar and Laos and was the Country Representative to Laos until July 2013.
Currently she’s the Director for the Community Development Group-responsible for leading community development projects including credit and savings program for harder to reach poor, projects on health, education, disaster relief and for the resource generation for innovation of products and services and corporate communications.
