Yasir Ashfaq, Group Head Financial Services, Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund
Mr. Yasir is an experienced professional with considerable skills at policy and operational levels in financial inclusion, governance, organizational development, MSME financial product development, project design, implementation and monitoring, value chain development and poverty alleviation. He is currently working as Group Head Financial Services Group at PPAF; the apex wholesale lender of microfinance sector in the Pakistan. He has designed PPAF’s strategy for enhancing microfinance and financial inclusion in the country. He represents PPAF at different policy level forums at the Central Bank, SECP, government departments and donor agencies both nationally and internationally.
Before joining PPAF, Yasir has held positions of Chief Financial Officer, Head of Treasury and worked in corporate finance, finance and accounts and risk management divisions of commercial and investment banks. He is an associate member of the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Pakistan and holds a Masters Degree in Economics from University of Sydney, Australia.
