Savings Groups are one of the fastest growing means to reach individuals excluded from traditional financial services. Village Savings and Loans programs (VSLAs) are improving the financial literacy and business development skills of group members who are learning how to increase savings and manage small loans. As a result, group members can be empowered to deal with immediate needs and build upon income generating activities.
